Privacy Policy

Effective 2 October 2026

This policy explains how RideAfri ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you use the RideAfri mobile apps and this website. We aim to follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and other privacy laws that apply where you use RideAfri.

1. Data we collect

2. How we use it

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with: the other party to your trip (for example, a rider sees pickup details and a sender sees the rider's name, photo and vehicle); service providers that help us run RideAfri, such as payment processors, cloud hosting, authentication and push-notification providers; and authorities where the law requires it or to protect safety.

4. How long we keep it

We keep personal data while your account is active and for as long as needed afterwards for legal, tax, fraud-prevention and dispute purposes. Transaction records may be kept for the period required by law even after an account is deleted.

5. Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. To delete your account, see Delete your account. For any other request, email support@rideafri.com. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

6. Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and restricted access. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password private.

7. Children

RideAfri is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here and, for important changes, notify you in the app.
